Kelly Tan
Kelly Tan is a Bay Area born artist and educator currently based in Boston. She makes illustrations, books, prints and is inspired by particular times of day, warm meals, things that sparkle in the sun, and how stories are passed down.

Teaching Philosophy:
Kelly Tan believes in the artistic potential of youth and students of all ages. Inquiry, play, iteration, problem solving, audience engagement and community building are the cornerstones of her art teaching. She teaches with the goal of unlocking the enriching ways that art can tell stories and express creative minds through exploration of a variety of mediums: drawing, painting, printmaking, bookmaking, mixed media, digital art, and more. Kelly Tan is a facilitator of individual and collective meaning making, where process and inspiration are as integral as the final product.
